He also served as a Clinical Instructor for the Department of Surgery at the University of Connecticut and was a site investigator for the implantation and use of Spiration® endobronchial valves in patients with persistent air leaks after lung surgery.Dr. Escalon has been published in Operative Techniques in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Journal of the American College of Surgeons, Clinical Chemistry, and Cardiology. He co-authored a chapter in Shields textbook of General Thoracic Surgery and has made presentations at numerous meetings and conferences. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, General Thoracic Surgery Club, and International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group.Dr. Escalon is fluent in English and Spanish.
