Dr. Heidi Sallee provides well-visit and sick-visit examinations, evaluation for behavioral and mental health concerns, and pediatric preventive care. She also sees patients in the Adolescent Clinic. She has expertise in parenting issues and is interested in improving mental health care via primary care and enhancing access to mental health care in the community. Dr. Sallee is involved in a multicenter RSV vaccine trial, working with the Saint Louis University Center for Vaccine Development. Past research includes developing a parenting tool to prevent accidental childhood injury, developing screening curriculum for depression and suicidality in teens, and working with psychology to develop primary care-based parenting interventions. Dr. Sallee is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Academic Pediatrics, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association.
Dr. Sallee is board certified in American Board Of Pediatrics , Drug Enforcement Administration , Missouri Dept Of Health/Narcotics&Dangerous Drugs , and Missouri State Board Of Registration. She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 2 peer reviewed articles.
