Dr. Hisham T. Amin
Overview
Hisham Amin, MD, dual certified in family medicine and sports medicine, dreamed of being a sports physician after playing all kinds of sports growing up. He remembers all the injuries and rehabilitation, which sparked his interest to learn more about sports medicine. After completing a sports medicine fellowship from Northwell Health/Hofstra University, he became a provider whose passion is to help people lead healthier lifestyles through exercise and preventative health. Dr. Amin has worked with various university sports teams, high school football teams, rugby and lacrosse teams in New York and runners in the New York Marathon. He has also covered a variety of tournaments including wrestling, boxing and volleyball. When it comes to treating patients, Dr. Amin says he goes beyond finding and treating the problem to help the person as a whole. “I have realized it is about creating an environment where patients feel safe and confident to receive the best possible care,” Dr. Amin says.
