Overview
Huguette Disasi, DPM, is a podiatrist. There are no small victories in my book — every step forward is a win.”|Dr. Disasi earned her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After medical school, she completed a residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident.|When she was in high school, injuries during cheerleading and track and field spurred her decision to pursue a career in medicine.|“I dealt with several overuse injuries and experienced firsthand the impact that treatment by a podiatrist had on my performance and recovery, as well as my quality of life,” says Dr. Disasi. “I saw podiatry as a rewarding career path that was a good fit for me.”|Originally from Maryland, Dr. Disasi also spent several years in New York. Her love of nature led her to Pennsylvania. “I have a wonderful husband and partner who shares my love of the outdoors and exploration, as well as large and loving extended family that is actively growing,” she says.|An avid writer and reader, Dr. Disasi says she also occasionally enjoys styling hair after working as a hairdresser for a few years.
