Jacob Bonilla, DMSc, PhDc, MPAS, PA-C
Jacob Bonilla brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as a physician associate. A product of the Army's Interservice Physician Associate Program, he earned both his undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by a doctorate from the University of Lynchburg with a specialization in orthopedics. He completed his residency and fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in El Paso, Texas.
Jacob proudly served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, including nearly a decade of clinical practice, before retiring from military service. His expertise spans musculoskeletal injuries, concussion care, family practice, and sports medicine. As a PhDc in neurophysiology, his research focuses on evaluating and managing concussions in young athletes, with several articles published in respected medical journals.
His journey in medicine began after three combat deployments, where he recognized the importance of protecting and restoring health. Today, he brings that same commitment to caring for his patients, with a focus on improving quality of life.
Outside the clinic, Jacob enjoys sports, especially football, coaching college athletes, and spending time with his family. Now settled locally, he values the small-town community and the opportunity to provide primary care that builds lasting relationships.
