He later completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri and his fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Orlando Health. About Dr. ToledanoDr. Toledano retired as a Captain from the United States Navy. Throughout his 24-year military career he was recognized multiple times for exemplary and meritorious service and performance, including during a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq. In his many roles, he was the director of both the orthopedic surgery residency program and pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego.Also an experienced clinical researcher, Dr. Toledano previously served as member of the steering committee for the Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium, a network of more than 25 trauma facilities, which conducts multi-center clinical research in concert with the United States Department of Defense. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America as well as the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.
