Dr. Jed Schortz is a board-certified gynecologic surgeon at the Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Dr. Schortz’s Training Dr. Schortz received his medical training at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, where he earned several awards and distinctions in minimally invasive surgery as well as clinical research. Dr. Schortz completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, where he performed hundreds of advanced gynecologic surgery procedures. About Dr. Schortz Dr. Schortz is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. That same group has recognized his surgical expertise and dedication to the care of women with benign and complex gynecologic diseases using minimally invasive surgical techniques. Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Schortz served as medical director for his specialty practice, as well as director for his hospital's center for excellence in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Schortz also has been honored by the Surgical Review Corporation, an internationally recognized nonprofit patient safety organization. He is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and of the American College of Surgeons. His professional memberships include the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons, and Society of Robotic Surgeons. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, exercising, Formula 1 racing and reading about history.
