Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jeeshan Ali Faridi thrives on the immediate satisfaction he gets from helping his patients get back to being more active and doing what they love. “Whether it’s getting them back to gardening or returning to the basketball court, I am here to work together with my patients and restore their function,” he said.Dr. Faridi treats both athletic and general injuries, and also performs anterior total hip replacements and total knee replacements. When it comes to patient care, he strives to build mutual respect and teamwork. “I strive to treat my patients how I would want to be treated and how I want my family to be treated,” he said.Dr. Faridi holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a medical degree from the Virginia Teach Carilion School of Medicine. He did a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville and an arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship in Richmond, Virginia.Dr. Faridi doesn’t just enjoy being able to heal athletes—he is an avid sports observer who cheers for UNC, as well as the Louisville Cardinals. He also enjoys playing pickleball, going hiking and discovering new restaurants.
