Overview
I became interested in medicine during college when I started volunteering at Seattle Children's Hospital as a child life volunteer. I found the relationships I built with the children extremely fulfilling, such as how I might bring a smile to their faces with a book of Dr. Seuss or a game of Monopoly. In medical school, I continued to find fulfillment in forming bonds with my patients. I could now work as their partners, listen to their stories, and stand by them during difficult times in their lives. I found meaning in this emotionally and intellectually demanding environment where I could act as an interpreter, educator, and source of support. I hope to continue serving my patients in this capacity. Outside of medicine, I channel my endless curiosity and introspection through my love of writing, photography, music, and mindfulness. I've always been drawn to the humanities and the nuances in life that language and art can reveal. I aim to offer my patients the same presence and kindness that I strive to cultivate in my life.
