Overview
Jennifer Martin, MD, serves patients in Pearland, Texas as a dermatologist at Elite Dermatology. She offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological services with emphasis on both adult and pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Martin grew up in North Florida. She has always been an exceptional student, starting early when she was elected to the Cambridge University International School program while in high school. After which, she received a full scholarship to the University of Central Florida with a double major in Microbiology & Molecular biology and Mathematics.
She continued at the University of Central Florida for medical school where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. During her time there, she was elected as “Chief Peer Academic Coach,” heading a tutoring and mentoring program for underclassmen. Additionally, she was inducted into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, a society for the top medical students in the country, and Gold Humanism society, a society recognizing excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.
Prior to starting her dermatology residency, Dr. Martin was selected for a well-regarded research fellowship where she was involved in over 15 clinical trials and authored numerous research articles. She strives to remain up to date on the most advanced medical treatments.
Dr. Martin completed her internship and dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was selected as chief resident. She scored among the top in the country on her dermatology in-training exams. During her training, she published numerous peer-reviewed articles and continues to stay active with the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society and Houston Dermatological Society.
Dr. Martin is kind, tenacious, and charismatic. Her extensive dermatological training, clinical research experience, and outstanding bedside manner provides patients with competent, compassionate, and individualized care.
In her free time, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, and two Dogo Argentinos, Ghost and Bellatrix. She enjoys all outdoor activities and large family gatherings.
