Overview
As a dual-boarded internist and psychiatrist with additional research training in psychoneuroimmunology and clinical and translational science, I specialize in psycho-oncology. With a specific interest in cancer psychiatry, I am the medical director of the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Psycho-Oncology Program and also lead an NIH-funded biobehavioral oncology research program. My goal is to better understand the biological relationship between the brain and the body in the cancer setting so we might best intervene to improve mental health and clinical cancer outcomes. My research continually informs my clinical practice and allows me to deliver cutting-edge treatment options. I serve patients throughout the Froedtert system, with an office-based outpatient practice at Froedtert Clinical Cancer Center.
