I am a general cardiologist, with a focus in cardiometabolic prevention. I see patients across the spectrum of heart health conditions, with emphasis on cholesterol, blood pressure, weight management and healthy lifestyle. I also specialize in seeing patients with with Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminate Potential (CHIP), a group of acquired mutations in blood cells that can increase risk of heart disease. As an undergraduate student, I was interested in sports medicine, but quickly realized I'd rather help patients improve their daily quality of life, rather than focus on helping athletes get back on the playing field faster. Outside of work I enjoy discovering new restaurants in the Triangle, traveling, hiking and taking my dog on long neighborhood walks.
