Jessica Miesfeld, MD, MPH, is a UW Health Kids pediatrician and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.She sees newborns in the hospital and cares for infants, children and adolescents in the clinic. She provides well childcare and visits for illnesses and injuries. She is especially interested in prevention and helping kids be the healthiest version of themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.Dr. Miesfeld chose general pediatrics because she enjoys helping kids stay healthy and treating a wide range of medical conditions. She is passionate about teaching kids and families about health and explaining things in a way they can understand. She feels honored to be part of her patients’ lives as they grow, develop and discover new skills and interests.Outside of work, Dr. Miesfeld is a Girl Scout troop leader. She is learning to play the piano and takes tap and ballet dance classes. She also enjoys cross stitching, reading, swimming and outdoor summer activities.
