That is why patient-centered care is imperative to improve and ensure positive health outcomes. I practice with compassion and respect for the uniqueness of every individual, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of health problems. | Why I entered medicine | Health care service is a cornerstone of my family, from missionary trips to developing countries to helping in the community I owe my growth to. It’s always been my calling. I embrace the feeling of improving someone's health and giving them the chance to return home to their families. I have worked as an RN in the emergency room for eight years, then decided to become a nurse practitioner to incorporate not only the caring and nurturing aspects of nursing, but also to advocate for and educate my patients along their road to better health. | Community involvement | I have dedicated hours of service to organizations that provide health care, food, medicine and other support to the neediest in our communities. I hope to dedicate more hours of service through missionary work. | Personal interests | I love spending free time with my family, as well as dancing, exercising and diving into good books.
