Dr. Eddie Needham is board certified in family medicine and is with BayCare Medical Group in Winter Haven, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned a Doctor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed a family medicine internship and residency while in the United States Army at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Needham served in the U.S. Army for seven years before joining the faculty at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Needham's current areas of focus include cardiovascular medicine (hypertension, heart failure and valvular heart disease), stroke, dermatology and COPD/asthma. Dr. Needham has clinical interests in family medicine that include wellness and prevention, diabetes and high cholesterol. He has been a family medicine physician educator since 1995 and is a core faculty physician with the Florida State University College of Medicine/Winter Haven Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program at BayCare. Dr. Needham teaches resident physicians in the program, providing in-depth instruction in family medicine. He’s a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
