Overview
I practice both pulmonary (lung) and critical care medicine at Regions Hospital and Lakeview Hospital. While most of my work is in the intensive care unit, my background as a pulmonologist heavily influences my practice, since many of my patients are in the ICU as a result of problems related to their breathing. I also see noncritically ill patients who have been hospitalized because of problems related to their lungs. In the hospital, I’m part of a multidisciplinary team of experts that includes not only nurses, physical and occupational therapists, dietitians, respiratory therapists and pharmacists—but also patients and their families. I believe that humility, honesty and open communication are important for our team to be its best, and my practice is rooted in these values. I’m originally from Cincinnati and moved to Minneapolis in 2009 to complete my medical training (and have been here ever since). When I’m not in the hospital, I’m spending time with my two boys, reading and playing tennis.
