Philosophy of care | Emergencies are uncertainties that can shake up anyone. Despite the hectic nature of your emergency, there is always the opportunity to keep you informed. I believe in taking the time to explain what we can do for you in the emergency department, including the reasoning for certain tests, and to arrange any follow-ups with specialists. When you leave the emergency department, whether admitted or discharged, you will know what will happen next. | Why I entered medicine | Like most people in health care, I entered medicine to help others. I also got into the field because of my interest in understanding how the human body works. In medical school, I enjoyed learning about not only how the body works, but also how to fix it. | Community involvement | I am involved in Habitat for Humanity at my undergraduate institution. I also volunteer with a nearby aircraft restoration group. | Personal interests | I enjoy aviation, hiking and sports in my free time.
