Dr. Jonathan E. Fischer

I am a Family Physician by training and currently do all of my clinical work with Hospice and Palliative Care. I see patients in the hospital as part of our Palliative Care consult service. In that setting I make suggestions on how to manage difficult symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, nausea, agitation or others. Working with our team of nurses, social workers and chaplains, I also add another layer of support for patients and families who are navigating serious illness and may be approaching difficult decisions regarding the next steps in care. Our conversations aim to learn more about you, and help us to design care plans focused on supporting what is most important to you. We want to make sure you get all of the information that you need to make choices, get all of the care that you want, and avoid treatments or situations that you don't want. I want to help you feel as good as you can feel right now, so that you may enjoy the highest quality of life possible throughout the path ahead.

Dr. Fischer is board certified in American Board Of Family Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Medicine and American Board Of Family Medicine, Family Medicine. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 25 peer reviewed articles.
