Jose L. Ortiz, PA
Overview
Jose Ortiz has been caring for North Texans as a certified physician assistant since 2016. A love of science drew him to a career in medicine. Jose chose primary care for the opportunity to provide a variety of services to patients in a single setting with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic illness management, dermatology and behavioral health. Jose earned his undergraduate degree in ecology, evolution and behavior at The University of Texas at Austin. After working in the environmental science area for a number of years, he returned to the classroom to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Jose is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. In his free time, Jose enjoys playing the bass guitar, cooking, reading history and geopolitical books, and hanging with his two cockapoos, Brody and Bowser.
