Overview
I am a pediatrician with a primary focus on the care of newborns in the hospital, in the Family Birth Center. I value partnering with families during the first days after birth, providing clear communication, reassurance and evidence-based care as parents adjust to caring for their new baby. I find it especially meaningful to support families during this early transition and help create a calm, supportive hospital experience. I also take care of infants and children in the hospital with acute illnesses and value partnering with families as their children recover. Outside of newborn care, my clinical interests include respiratory illnesses such as bronchiolitis and asthma. I also enjoy quality improvement and medical education, informed by my training in pediatrics, public health and experience as a chief resident. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy pickleball, travel, gardening and cooking. I live in Minneapolis with my wife and our dog.
