I am happiest when I see my patients begin to understand the importance of taking ownership of their health and making the necessary changes to improve their lives. Specializing in geriatrics, I especially enjoy treating older patients and learning about their life experiences that equip them to go through their current challenges in such courageous ways. When I initially came to work at Duke Health 30 years ago, I knew I was in the right place. I have always valued the state of the art care that Duke Health consistently provides to patients and families. I am honored that patients and families trust us with their care in very vulnerable and often difficult health situations.
