Overview
Originally from Bremen, Georgia, Karen has lived in Middle Tennessee since 2007 when she came to serve as Minister to Preschool and Children at Third Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She then went on to work as a Content Editor for Lifeway Christian Resources in Nashville, writing and editing preschool curriculum serving over a million children each week. In 2021, Karen’s career took a turn when she felt the call to nursing. She completed her nursing education at Vanderbilt University and is thrilled to be back in Murfreesboro serving children and their families yet again but in a new capacity. Karen provides MMC patients with ADOS testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Behavior Management Training, and pediatric walk-in clinic visits. In her spare time, Karen enjoys reading classic books with her book club, walk and talks with friends, and teaching Kindergarteners in her church.
