I am a nurse practitioner specializing in general thoracic and cardiothoracic surgery. My mother is a nurse, which inspired my interests and love for the field of medicine at a young age. Additionally, I personally know what it is like to be the family member of a patient in need of the care and life-saving interventions that this specialty has to offer. Therefore, it is very gratifying for me to connect with and care for this patient population during times that can be frightening and uncertain. I strive to promote a sense of security and understanding among my patients, so they can feel confident and assured that patient advocacy and commitment to excellence in patient care are my priorities as a provider. Aside from medicine, I enjoy fitness and staying active, cooking and trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I am a North Carolina native. I also have a miniature Goldendoodle that I enjoy exploring all of the great parks and trails in the area with.
