She completed her diagnostic radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University (Wash U) School of Medicine in St. Louis. Practicing since 2006 as a board-certified radiologist, Dr. Appleton has special interests in breast cancer screening/diagnosis and image-guided interventional breast procedures/biopsies. Dr. Appleton's career has included a faculty role as associate professor of radiology and chief of breast imaging at Wash U School of Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center.
