Katherine Fox is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA and earned her medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago - Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL. She completed her residency in family medicine at MacNeal Family Medicine in Berwyn, IL. She went on to complete her fellowship in sports medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Dr. Fox is focused on non-surgical sports medicine. Medical procedures include treatment for rotator cuff disorders, wrist, thumb, and hand arthritis, bursitis and tendonitis, cortisone injections, strains and sprains, and stress fractures. Dr. Fox is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a volunteer team physician for the Madison Capitols. Dr. Fox loves spending time with her three children who keep her very active. It's also no surprise that she enjoys regular exercise and group fitness classes. She played field hockey through high school and college and continued to play floor hockey post college. If she can find the time, she also like to read. As a family, they enjoy traveling to the East Coast. She grew up there and her children enjoy the ocean and seeing their extended family. I believe that exercise is essential for both physical and mental health.
