After losing a family member at an early age, Katherine Parmley knew she wanted to be like the compassionate caregivers who tended to her loved one and her family during their difficult time. She went on to become a certified physician assistant in 2023 with special focus in the area of trauma/emergency surgery. Katherine places a priority on providing quality care from pre-surgery management through post-surgery recovery and healing with the aim of creating an environment of calm amongst the uncertainty of surgery. She is experienced in wound care, patient education and surgical assistance for a variety of procedures in the OR. Katherine earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences while studying at Indiana University in South Bend. She completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at West Coast University’s Richardson, Texas campus. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
