Overview
Katie Ellis, PA-C, believes in listening to the patient and treating them with empathy and compassion. She first became interested in health care at a young age, as her father was quadriplegic. Katie's family served as his primary caregivers. Throughout her father's various tests, appointments and hospital stays, her interest and desire to make a difference in health care was fostered. Katie earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Central Oklahoma before pursuing a Master of Health Science from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, College of Medicine. She brings over seven years of experience as a PA-C to SSM Health Dermatology and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants professional organization. When not caring for patients, Katie enjoys spending time with her son and cycling. She is also passionate about supporting single mothers, in any way she can. Katie provides care to patients, treating all aspects of dermatology including skin cancer and chronic skin conditions for both adults and children.
