Philosophy of care | I want to meet my patients where they are on their individual health journeys. I always strive to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Together, we are a team working toward individual health needs or desires. My goal is making patients feel supported and educated after each of our encounters. | Why I entered medicine | From a young age I wanted to be in the medical field after witnessing my grandmother's fight with cancer. In high school, I took allied health nursing classes, and they helped me realize nursing was the career for me. I enjoyed being a cardiac bedside nurse and learned valuable skills, but a desire to be able to do more for my patients led me to becoming a nurse practitioner. | Community involvement | I did volunteer work in Wilkes-Barre while in school there, including immunizations at the local department of health. | Personal interests | I have a toddler boy and two dogs who keep me busy in my spare time. Although we enjoy all things outdoors, boating on the lake is our favorite.
