Overview
I always knew that I would be in the health care field. After becoming an registered nurse, I quickly realized that I could make a greater difference in my patients' lives by becoming a nurse practitioner. I have been a practicing NP for 18 years and have spent the last 14 years specializing in nephrology. Kidney disease is personal to me because several of my family members have been diagnosed with it, and seeing them deal with it ignited a passion in me to provide excellent care to patients with kidney disease. I aim not only to provide care but also to educate my patients about their condition and empower them to take control and improve their overall health. Another goal of mine is to help my patients understand that if their CKD progresses, I will still be here to help them make the right decisions. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to live bands, trying new restaurants and food trucks, and living life to the fullest.
