Dr. Kristen S. Weber

Kristen Weber CRNP-BC, MSN is a nurse practitioner currently focusing on general and high risk maternal-cardiology at UMPC-Magee. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from James Madison University in Virginia in 1989 and subsequently a Master’s degree as an acute care nurse practitioner from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997. Kristen has worked in cardiology at UPMC since graduation. She initially worked on the in-patient Cardiac Pavilion service at UPMC-Presbyterian from 1997-2006. From 2006 until present, she has worked on the in-patient cardiology consultative service at UPMC-Magee. She also sees cardiology clinic out-patients. Kristen has a particular interest in the coordination of inpatient medical delivery plans for high risk cardiac maternity patients. She has recently assisted in developing digitized, multidisciplinary care plans for high risk cardiac-maternal patients. She is an associate member of the American College of Cardiology. She has done multiple educational lectures ranging from hospital grand rounds to regional conferences and has done multiple lectures at the University of Pittsburgh’s Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She has precepted a multitude of students over many years sharing her extensive cardiology knowledge. She has precepted or mentored high school students, medical students, nurse practitioner and PA students as well as cardiology fellows. She thoroughly enjoys helping students optimize a personally, tailored clinical experience.
