Overview
Ms. Townsend’s current focus is hematology/oncology, working in outpatient medical oncology and bone marrow transplant. Her responsibilities include working collaboratively with oncologists to deliver care to patients undergoing active chemotherapy treatment and caring for patients who have completed treatment and are being monitored for disease recurrence and long-term effects of treatment. She also collaborates with oncologists to implement plans of care before, during and after bone marrow stem cell transplant and cares for patients in the terminal phase of illness, especially symptom management. Currently, she works as the Clinical Lead on the Cancer Survivorship Program Committee and is a Lymphoma Survivorship clinic provider.
