Overview
I am excited to be serving patients as a family practice provider. I was born and raised in Minnesota and earned my nursing degrees in North Dakota. After several years of work in hospitals, primarily with children, I moved to Colorado where I had the privilege of working in rural and community facilities caring for underserved and vulnerable populations. These experiences evoked my passion for providing holistic family care by attending to physical, emotional and basic human needs. I chose to practice in family medicine because I enjoy many fields of medicine, but areas of particular interest include preventive care, women’s health and the management of diabetes, hypertension and thyroid. I believe it is imperative to collaborate with my patients in their health care decisions, and learn all the factors in their lives that may encourage or prevent them from achieving their wellness goals. I also incorporate alternative therapies and supplements when appropriate to treat chronic conditions.
