Dr. Laura Gonzalez

Dr. Laura Gonzalez is a board-certified psychiatrist with Orlando Health Medical Group Behavioral Health. She provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Gonzalez has a special interest in acute care psychiatry, and her expertise includes: Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder Major depressive disorder Anxiety Eating disorders Phobias Bipolar disorders Schizophrenia Post-traumatic stress disorder Childhood behavioral problems Dr. Gonzalez’s Training Dr. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She received her medical training at Ross University in Barbados and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She completed her psychiatry residency at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York, and has additional training administering transcranial magnetic stimulation. About Dr. Gonzalez Dr. Gonzalez is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is licensed as a medical doctor by the Florida Department of Health. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Her research work includes the monitoring and evaluation of a preschool food supplement program. For more than 15 years, Dr. Gonzalez has served on the board of directors of Sustainable Cambodia, an international nonprofit organization that works to empower rural villagers and support sustainable development. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Gonzalez is board certified in Acls, American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology, Bls, Pals, and TMS Brainsway Operator. She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 3 peer reviewed articles.
