
Overview
Dr. Lauren Turza is a specialty care physician board certified in surgery at Inova Health System. She joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 2009. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the National Capital Consortium (Walter Reed National Military Medical Center) and fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Dr. Turza has deployed oversees in the Middle East. She was the chief of breast surgery and director of the breast center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and at Tripler Army Medical Center. She also served as the cancer liaison physician for the Commission on Cancer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She is Assistant Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and has published research in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Turza lives in Bethesda, MD, with her two children and enjoys outdoor activities including biking, running and hiking.
