Lawrence Tsen, MD is an Associate Professor in Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School and for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, he serves as the Director of Anesthesia for the Center for Reproductive Medicine, and recently served as Associate Director for Professionalism and Peer Support. An author of over 170 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, Dr. Tsen conducts clinical and basic science investigations focused on the impact of anesthesia on maternal and fetal outcomes; he currently serves as Chair for the Mass General Brigham Human Research Committee/Institutional Review Board and has been the recipient of a number of research, teaching, and mentoring awards. A former President for the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia, Dr. Tsen serves as an editor for the textbook Chestnut’s Obstetric Anesthesia: Principles and Practices and as a member of a number of national and international Research Grant Review Boards.
His clinical expertise encompasses Tubal Ligation.
Dr. Tsen is board certified in Anesthesiology. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 75 peer reviewed articles and participating in 1 clinical trial.
