Overview
Leal Hsiao, MD, MHSCL, is a family medicine physician who has extensive experience working in primary care medicine for more than 16 years. He specializes in preventive care, and in the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Hsiao earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and earned a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Leadership (MHSCL) degree. He also has a special interest in using health informatics to improve care for his patients and helping other healthcare providers optimize their use of technology. Dr. Hsiao is a firm believer in listening to his patients’ healthcare goals, concerns, and interests. He works with patients to give them the tools they need to take control of their own health so they can live their best lives. Outside of work, Dr. Hsiao enjoys spending time with his family, trying new foods, and swimming any chance he can get. Dr. Hsiao speaks English and understands basic conversational Spanish.
