As a pediatrician, my goal is to partner with families to care for children, from newborns to adolescents. It is a gift to be able to join each family on a child's journey of growth, and I love watching kids grow and develop at each visit. I am particularly passionate about breastfeeding, newborn care and parenting strategies, sleep, healthy eating throughout childhood, and helping children with complex medical conditions succeed. Outside of work, you will find me playing with my toddler, infant, and fur-baby, catching up on a good book, and exploring outdoor fun in the Triangle with my family!.

My research focuses on helping children live their healthiest life possible through nutrition, activity, and engagement in community activities. I have expertise in childhood nutrition issues including obesity in children and teenagers. It is such a privilege to be a part of families' lives. I have a special interest in patient-centered communication and am passionate to see physicians, patients, and parents communicate with each other to meet their mutual goals. I believe a shared decision making approach benefits patients and their families the most.
