My grandmother was a dialysis patient which is why I chose the field of nephrology after completion of my MSN degree for nursing. I took care of dialysis patients for 10 years before making the leap into transplant nephrology. My previous work with dialysis patients gives me insight into the challenges that dialysis patients have and allows me to better care for my patients. In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, running, riding the Peloton bike and hiking in the mountains. I have two golden retrievers that love to hike with me.
