Overview
After growing up in four countries and seven states, Dr. Cheng settled at the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition along with a minor in dance. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas before completing her OB/GYN residency at the University of Arizona Phoenix.
Her experiences growing up in different cultures influenced her passion for obstetrics and gynecology because it allowed her to support and care for women who are often the physical and emotional caretakers in their communities. Dr. Cheng is passionate about patient education, shared decision-making, and creating lasting relationships with her patients. Her professional interests include broad spectrum and high-risk obstetrics care, minimally invasive surgery, contraception, in-office procedures, and sexual health. In addition to English, she speaks Mandarin and conversational Japanese.
In her free time, Dr. Cheng can be found going to the dance studio, reading, cooking, hiking, and laughing with friends.
