Overview
To me, one of the most rewarding aspects of family medicine is the ability to provide comprehensive care to individual patients, as well as to care for families across generations. Being able to care for the whole person—mind, body and spirit—and to extend that care to entire families is one of the most unique things about being a family medicine physician. I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics, covering acute illnesses, chronic conditions, preventative care, and certain in-office procedures including skin procedures, joint injections and reproductive care. My residency training was very inpatient focused, and while I no longer care for patients admitted to the hospital, it has made me passionate about preventative care, and helping patients stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. My goal as a physician is to listen and recognize each patient’s concerns and to partner with them, developing plans to meet goals and live their healthiest lives.
