
Overview
Dr. Madina Tugizova is a neurologist who cares for patients with nerve and muscle diseases; disorders of the neuromuscular junction (the connection point between a motor nerve and a muscle fiber), such as myasthenia gravis; and disorders of the brachial or lumbosacral plexus (nerve network controlling the upper and lower limbs, respectively). She has particular interests in inherited neuromuscular diseases and neuromuscular diseases linked to dysfunction of the immune system. Along with other tests, she uses electromyography, which measures the electrical activity when a nerve stimulates a muscle, to help diagnose nerve and muscle disorders.
