Given her interest in under-resourced populations and tropical medicine, she completed an additional fellowship training program at the University of Washington in Global & Rural Health, which took her to Pine Ridge, South Dakota, and Koidu, Sierra Leone (West Africa). Dr. Bangert enjoys hiking, running, and traveling in her free time.
