Overview
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and since my childhood, the desire to help others moved me into the medical profession. I have practiced pediatric medicine in Alamance and Guilford counties since 2012. I have extensive experience in primary care working with multicultural patients, including underserved communities. My approach as a pediatrician is to establish positive and open communication with patients, parents, and caregivers by utilizing and emphasizing the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. One of my focuses is to improve the overall health and well-being of my patients through preventative measures and gradual lifestyle modifications. I like to include parents' and guardians' input in the decision-making process for the best interest of my patients. I am also a dedicated mother and enjoy community volunteering.

I treat children and adolescents who have gained weight too quickly and have health problems associated with weight. My research focuses on helping children live their healthiest life possible through nutrition, activity, and engagement in community activities. I have expertise in childhood nutrition issues including obesity in children and teenagers. It is such a privilege to be a part of families' lives. I have a special interest in patient-centered communication and am passionate to see physicians, patients, and parents communicate with each other to meet their mutual goals.
