You could say it runs in the family, because I’m married to a family practitioner, and we have three wonderful children of our own. I love treating kids! I am continuously amazed by their resiliency. Even in my medical training, I always felt connected to the children I cared for – and their parents – so I chose pediatrics as my medical career. I get tremendous personal satisfaction from helping ill children get better. One of my proudest moments was when a newborn I had resuscitated came in to the office for the first time for a routine wellness checkup.
