
Overview
Mareen Thomas, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatric endocrinology and is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. Prior to working at Children's National Hospital, she worked at Children’s Hospital of Richmond for seven years with a special interest in endocrine care for children with muscular dystrophy as well as type 1 and type 2 diabetes, disorders of growth, puberty and thyroid disease. She specializes in providing compassionate and comprehensive care for children with complex endocrine needs. Dr. Thomas completed the combined guaranteed admission program at Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed pediatric residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Thomas received Top Docs of Richmond recognition from 2020-2025.
