Overview
I provide care for adult patients who have medical conditions that require further evaluation and treatment inside of a hospital setting. Some common medical issues that I treat include: heart attacks, strokes, intestinal bleeding, lung infections, and poorly controlled diabetes. When I finished my training in 2004, I initially practiced as an internal medicine primary care doctor in a clinic in Stillwater, Minnesota. For nine years, I enjoyed getting to know my patients and their families. In 2012, I transitioned to hospital medicine so that I could help patients manage more complicated medical conditions. As a physician who has experienced both sides of clinic and hospital medicine, I am better able to anticipate challenges that my patients may experience. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, biking, and spending time with my family.
