Philosophy of care | My philosophy of care includes striving to treat patients with an individualized approach. Patients are more than just a health condition or illness. A method and treatment plan that works for one does not always work for the next. | Why I entered medicine | During my time as a medical surgical nurse, I realized that I wanted to further my capabilities to help patients and felt ready for the added responsibilities of being a nurse practitioner. So as cliche as it may sound, I entered medicine to dive deeper into a passion of helping others and advocating for patients. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time with my family, having game nights, watching NASCAR and attending local stock car races to cheer on my cousins. A fun fact about me: I was a barista before I entered health care, so I am a bit of a coffee connoisseur.

Philosophy of care | I believe in taking an individualized holistic approach: treating the whole person, taking into consideration the disease process, mental and social factors as well as the physical symptoms of multiple sclerosis. My goal is to enable individuals to achieve their own goals in life and to live with MS with as little impact as possible. | Why I entered medicine | I entered medicine to help people. | Community involvement | I am involved with the greater MS community, both locally and nationally, as well as the education of students and peers. | Personal interests | I enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, gardening, bird watching and spending time with my three daughters and my dogs.
