Mark Whitehead is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute specializing in treatment of upper extremity injuries, compressive neuropathies, deformities, and degenerative conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Mark’s Training Mark received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida. He earned his Master of Medical Science (MMS) in the physician assistant program from Saint Louis University in Missouri and completed his post-graduate orthopedic surgical fellowship at First Response Orthopedic Group in Orlando. Mark has experience in acute orthopedic trauma, hip and knee arthroplasty, orthopedic spine surgery, and sports medicine. About Mark Mark is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a graduate of the Health Equity Train the Trainer Program, and in addition to being dedicated to bridging gaps caused by healthcare disparities, he participates in community events geared to provide education and counteract problems that are often caused by social determinates of health. Mark is closely involved in the mentoring and training of advanced practice providers at Orlando Health and was named the Orlando Health Medical Group APP Mentor of the Year. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and children, being outdoors, and playing basketball and the cajon.
