Overview
I’m a general pediatrician at Duke Children’s Primary Care, and I’ve been seeing kids from birth through college since 1999. When I’m working with a family, I feel we are a team whose job is to help their child stay healthy and grow in the best way possible. After listening to their concerns, I believe my job is to give guidance based on my experience, training and fine tune based on the individuality of that family and what would work for them. It’s an honor to be brought into the lives of my patients and their families. I love watching these children grow and turn into amazing adults and sometimes I even get to be their children’s pediatrician. I’m lucky to be part of so many children’s lives, but I also have an important job of being a wife and mother to my two daughters. Having children has taught me that sometimes parents just have to survive and can’t do everything by the books. On the flip side, I’ve learned so much from the families I see every day, that I’ve become a better mother because of it. I am very grateful to be a part of Duke and all the families who have invited me into their lives.
