Overview

Dr. Mary Burton is a compassionate, board-certified pediatrician with a special certification in neonatal resuscitation. As a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she finds great fulfillment in working with high-risk newborns and premature infants in the Level II Special Care Nursery at LDS Hospital. Dr. Burton also has a strong interest in adolescent health, particularly in mental health, gynecologic issues, and general pediatrics.

Dr. Burton earned her medical degree and completed her internship at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, graduating in 1990. She then completed her residency at the University of Utah and has been practicing as a general pediatrician with Intermountain since 1993.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Burton enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking, trail running, mountain biking, skiing, and cooking. She cherishes the moments she can spend with her two young adult children and enjoys exploring the mountains with her husband, Scott, an internist with Intermountain, whenever they aren't working.

Her top area of expertise is Delayed Growth.
